Formerly one of Decatur’s best-kept secrets, Oakhurst’s active neighborhood association now brings in thousands of neighboring residents each year for the many festivals and events, such as the Jazz Nights at Scottish Rite, a Wine Tasting Festival, and the annual Oakhurst Arts Festival. McGowan's Oakhurst Pub & Wine Merchant, located on Hill Street next to Palate, opened almost a year ago! If you haven't tried it out yet, McGowan's has an extensive beer list and pub menu.
If you're not familiar with the neighborhood, all of the restaurants are fantastic! Try U-joint for pub food, Mojo's for pizza, Saba - Italian, Steinbeck's - English, El Matador for Mexican fare, and many more. You won't be disappointed!
